Whimsical Garden with a bee twist

photo (3)
A few weeks week ago I was asked to take part in the Snohomish Wedding Tour, a beautiful annual wedding show that features local Snohomish venues. Mariah Rainier Style was ecstatic to be a part of such a dynamic talented group of people at the beautiful venue Jardin del Sol. The theme at Jardin del Sol was “Whimsical Garden with a bee twist,” with BreeAnn of Pink Blossom Events planning and styling I knew it would be a stunning wedding display. All of the whimsical details and bright pops of color brought this summer wedding inspiration to full bloom.

Surrounded by friends, family & love Justin & Erin exchanged their vows on a beautiful, sunny Northwest Autumn day. I have no doubt that you will “fall” in love with this seaside themed wedding. This stylized wedding inspiration by Mariah Rainier Style took place in Snohomish Washington at the historical French Creek Manor.

Mixing vintage elements with playful modern ones brought this idea to life. Creating an elegant yet effortless wedding on a budget was key. Gay Soriano of Happy Cakes & events created this stunning wedding cake and delectable cupcakes to tie in with the weddings theme. The beautiful bride carried a seashell bouquet designed and created by Mariah of Mariah Rainier Style. This unique alternative to the traditional floral bouquet will last forever and can be the perfect touch to any beach wedding. Lush centerpieces with clear vases, water beads, and glowing aqua lights in water with a simple flower display took center stage on a natural mesh runner.  Mariah Rainier Style’s ever popular aqua {Atlantis} buffet added a brilliant touch of color to break up the simplicity of the crisp white accents. What could be more fun than adding a row-boat to the décor as the gift table.

This wedding brought the bride’s love of the ocean in doors with a warm feeling of love all around.

Vintage Rustic Barn Wedding

Vintage Rustic Barn Wedding

BLOG1

We are thrilled to start this 2014 New Year with a bang! We begin with sharing this stunning barn wedding that Mariah Rainier Style had the honor of designing, staging and styling with their vintage rentals. Crockett barn is nestled in Coupeville, Washington located on Whidbey Island and overlooking the waters of Puget Sound. This magnificent 1900’s barn brings you to a place where you can clear your head and focus on the beauty! With the focus surrounding a barn style wedding we created a style and atmosphere that was elegant yet rustic and we fell in love with every.single.thing about it. From the delish organic food,  smile worthy photography, ruffle layered cake, wild farm flowers & energy filled music I can’t possibly think of anything more country and farm fitting than this wedding.  The bride and groom were in utter bliss.  With the radiance of the sunshine you could feel the love pouring out of this stunning bride and groom.

Have a “GUMBall”

Have a “GUMBall”

Saf8-117

This 8th Birthday swim party at the Everett Golf & Country Club is bursting with color and popping with gumballs. Our inspiration came from a vintage gumball machine stand and several vintage gumball machines and one little girl’s love of “GUMBALLS.” With bright colors of lime green, lavender, raspberry, sky blue & pink what better way to make this party explode with these bursts of color. We love working with Gay Soriano of Happy Cakes & Events her design of this life sized key lime flavored gumball machine cake and cupcakes were exploding with creativity & flavors.  We incorporated delightful mini gumball machines, colorful clear tubes of gumballs & popcorn.  The beverage stand beautifully showcased bubblegum necklaces and sweet gumball door knobs.  Vintage dessert trays were filled with gumball cake pops and perfectly decorated gumball cookies designed by the ever talented and sweet Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies. Gigantic Balloons and vintage gumball machines were the focal point of each child’s table. The back of each chair was adorned with colorful tulle and clusters of gumballs.  Vintage details with the old farm house window frame, buffet table and antique accents gave this party flair by bringing the old gumball machines to life with their pops of color.  Party rentals, vintage props and decorations were created & styled by Mariah Rainier Style and photography by Heather Lynn Photographie.

glamcamp-133

What’s more glorious than celebrating an 11th Birthday?  Having a GlampOUT!  What is a “GlampOut” you ask?

Camping… yes! Roughing It? Not Quite.

Camping in December… yes, please. When your birthday is in the midst of winter what better way to create an indoor slumber party when it’s just too cold to camp out doors.  To get the ultimate glamping experience we set-up a pretty tent in a cozy space for the perfect foundation for any glampsite.

Love is Brewing – The Perfect Blend

Love is Brewing – The Perfect Blend

If you fancy a bit of whimsical romance this delightful afternoon, I have the most perfect bit of loveliness for you to inspire and feast your eyes upon. This “Perfect Blend” editorial photo-shoot is filled to the brim with the most delightful and exquisite tidbits of sweet inspiration. Today’s vintage tea has captured my heart and I am so excited to share the beauty of its tailored simplicity. Brace yourselves, this delightful feature is vintage perfection at its finest and because there is nothing more fun than an afternoon in the glorious autumn sunshine and playing with vintage teacups, lace, and just the perfect touch of pink I know you’ll be in awe as much as I am.

This tea party incorporated soft, girly colors with pinks, cream, light hues of brown and touches of burlap and was inspired by this stunning Champagne pink bridal gown by “Laineemeg Bridal”. When you are planning an event, you have to think outside of the box. Taking bits and pieces of ideas and inspiration from various sources helps to weave a beautiful event that is uniquely you.

All the beautiful decor elements and props are styled by Mariah of Mariah Rainier Style and are available to rent to create this vintage wedding tea party. Mixing and matching the lace tablecloths, napkins, and the vintage pink parasol, as well as the delightfully old china and the casual strung paper lanterns brought everything together making it whimsical and pretty!

Heather Lynn Photographie” captured every-single little detail that showcased all the touches that brought an old charm with a new twist with the wrought iron brass candelabra displaying the exquisite vintage tea cups as well as the old book adorned with the writing “bridal table.”  The delicious pies adorned the dessert table made for a fun twist as well as the silverware engraved with creative sayings. Handmade paper flowers were creatively made out of coffee filters all of which bring together stunning elements to this shoots theme “Love is Brewing – The Perfect Blend.” designed by “Layers of Paper.” Our model Katie was a dream she looked exquisite with hair and makeup created by Elle Makeup Artistry.

This photo-shoot “upped the ante” on girlie-like romance, featuring the most fantastic vintage tea party shoot to-date.

Long live vintage.

Living beyond breast cancer is about how we find treatment. It’s about transforming the experience of diagnosis into one of finding support, expertise, community… and learning from those who have faced cancer themselves and soared beyond it. Why we support – to honor and remember my mom who battled 10 1/2 years of breast cancer. We support because years ago my great-grandmother died because there were no adequate treatments for breast cancer because my maternal-grandmother battled breast cancer twice. So my daughters don’t have to live in a world with breast cancer. So that the 1 in 8 women who are diagnosed with breast cancer have a lifetime. We support because it MATTERS!

Hope to see you ALL there!

Mariah & Family

Please Know Your Your Breast Health…

The key to survival is early detection.
The greatest risk factors for breast cancer are being female and growing older.  Breast cancer knows no boundary, be it age, gender, socio-economic status or geographic location.  We must continue to keep breast cancer top of mind because it affects so many!
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That’s one in eight within your company, school and organization.  Now is the time to take action, to secure a long, healthy future for our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends!
Three simple steps for early detection are regular mammograms, clinical exams and breast self- exams.  It is important to make healthy lifestyle choices.

And, remember, breast cancer affects more than just the patient; friends and family need support too.

Check out our donation page, every dollar helps. http://pugetsound.info-komen.org/site/TR?pg=fund&fr_id=1680&pxfid=235964

Halloween Vintage Harvest

Halloween Vintage Harvest

The time has arrived. I’ve started my OCTOBER fall harvest of Halloween decorating with vintage-hues of orange and black inside & out this weekend.  My girls have been such good helpers and have already planned out their Halloween costumes {6 months ago} haha. Their a little excited!

This is not the time of year when less is more for me…that comes in January.  Right now I crave warm colors and a cozy feel in our rooms, and our home feels so cozy to me right now.

I’m not a huge fan of the uber spooky ultra frightening Halloween decor.  I think it’s because I’m not a fan of all things {scary} that includes horror movies. Except for the 1960 Psycho its a family favorite (my mothers favorite) and it was a Halloween requirement every year growing up in my home.  It’s an Oldie but definitely a goody!

I love the whimsical country flare added to our Halloween decor.  October brings the smell of apple cider, the feel of a cozy sweater, yummy home baked goodies & soup. My family snuggled up next to me playing board games.

Let the fall harvest begin…

xoxo M
