Chevron Modern DIY Wedding

Chevron has been a huge new trend this year and not just in weddings! We just can’t stop loving them. They naturally become the center of any wedding theme and really do make such a statement. A prime example of their ability to take center stage is in this DIY inspirational shoot.

We choose a bold black and white zig-zag chevron fabric as the isle runner that perfectly compliments the bright turquoise buffet table.  With hydrangeas as the focal point on the table top decor the florals are beautifully displayed in the vintage trunk.  The vibrant blue hydrangeas used in the brides bouquet compliment her stunning blue eyes and added a splash of color to the beautiful wedding gown by LaineeMeg Bridal {formerly known as From the Gown Up}. Makeup for the bride’s big day was created by Elle Makeup Artistry and the stunning hair updo by Sarah Kelley. The vintage doors added a grand entrance for the bride as she had her first meeting with her groom as well as her first walk down the isle.

The turquoise buffet table/alter was easiy transformed into a stunning dessert table with the focus on a beautifully hand painted chevron mixer by Un-Amore Custom Design that carried the theme of the chevron throughout.  The delicious and oh so grand wedding cake was made by Happy Cakes and Events.

This chevron pattern is so versatile and looks fabulous for a modern wedding. The print is bold and stands out, but definitely not so much that it takes away from your other beautiful décor. The best thing about incorporating a chevron pattern for your big day plans is that it looks amazing in any color.
